before you pay
▸what does the fee actually buy?
position and speed: your listing is pinned above the free listings on its category page, it appears in the featured row on the home page, and it goes live within minutes instead of waiting for review. that is the complete list.
▸can it buy a good write-up?
no. where we have researched a product, the verdict on its page came from the vendor's own pricing page and licence file and it is not for sale — not the wording, not a softer version of it, not its removal. paying also does not make us research a product we had not got to, so a featured slot on an entry that carries the vendor's own description leaves it carrying the vendor's own description. no vendor sees a verdict before it publishes.
▸is the link do-follow?
no. every outbound link on the site carries rel="nofollow", and paid listings additionally carry rel="sponsored", which is what google asks for on paid placement. anyone selling you a do-follow link from a directory is either lying or risking your site's standing along with theirs.
▸can you remove a competitor, or move me above them?
no. order within the featured block is by upvotes, and a free listing is never removed or demoted to make room for a paid one.
▸what if the listing is rejected?
paid listings publish automatically, but anything unlawful, deceptive, or plainly outside the categories comes down and is refunded in full. we would rather refund than host it.
▸can i edit it later?
yes — the confirmation email contains a private edit link for that listing. no account, no password. mail us if you lose it.
