OVHcloud
the cheapest no-commitment 4 gb box here — once you read past the headline price.
hetzner-class value with backups thrown in — held back by pricing footnotes and the total absence of hermes-specific anything.
the refreshed vps line is genuinely strong for this workload: 2 vcores, 4 gb and nvme storage for $5.35 month-to-month, with daily backups and anti-ddos included by default — things hetzner charges for or doesn't bundle.
the footnotes are why it isn't ranked higher. the advertised 'from $4.54' requires a year prepaid with auto-renewal. eu and us list prices differ materially rather than by exchange rate. and the 'unlimited traffic' on asia-pacific locations carries a monthly quota after which the port drops to 10 mbps.
the description above is ours, condensed from the ranking. pricing moves — check it on the vendor's own page before you rely on it.

we researched this category against vendors' own pricing pages and licence files. that is where this line comes from — not from the vendor, and not from anything they paid for.
